Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration invited the first group of applicants who had applied for express entry to make an application for permanent residence in Canada.
On Saturday, January 31st, 779 skilled workers, including professionals in natural and applied sciences, and industrial, electrical and construction trades, were invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada. The applications were chosen based on a point system and the first lot of applicants had a score of atleast 886 out of 1200.
Canada will regularly invite the highest-ranking candidates from the pool to apply to immigrate. With most applications being processed are expected to be completed in close to six months. Almost all the applicants who were picked up in the first lot had a job offer or a Provincial Nomination Certificate.
