The Immigration Department has finally announced that from today, June 11, 2015 onwards all the applications they receive for Canadian Citizenship will be processed under the new selection criteria. Any application that is post marked or in mail will still have to meet the new selection criteria.
The new selection criteria has increased the time applicants have to spend in Canada as permanent residents to qualify for Citizenship. Language testing has also been made for a broader age group of people. One more interesting factor that has been introduced is that the applicants have to provide tax documents with the application.
We will be conducting free consultation sessions for anyone who wants to know more about this program at our office. Please email or call us and we would be more than happy to help you.
Number of days you have to stay in Canada is not 1460,
